Hey, this is Jenny and I'm going to show you how you can get the range of a data set!

1.) Find the lowest and the highest number in the data set.                           Ex.  Data Set:  4, 44, 23, 8, 56, 89, 2, 76, 34, 3, 6

                                                Lowest number: 2                             

                                                Highest number: 89

2.) Take the lowest number and subtract it from the highest number.      

Ex.   89

      -   2

    --------

        87

3.) So, the answer for the data set - Range = 87
