Hello, my name is Garrett.   I would like to teach you how to find the mode.

The number or numbers that occur the most times in the data set are the mode.

Data Set: 29, 34, 33, 29, 30, 31, 33, 33

1. Look through all the numbers and tally up how many 29s, 34s, 33s, 30s, 31s are total in the data set.

2. After you write how many numbers are there find which number is repeated the most.

3. Write the answer on the paper then you got it.     

                                                           Mode= 33

Could I use a line plot to help?

Hey, this is Erin.  I am going to teach you how to find the MODE.

Data set: 22,8,12,45,12,22,17,12

Now just look for the number that is repeated more than once.

If you got the number 12 then you are correct, you have found the MODE.

I got that answer because 12 is repeated three times .
