Median

Hi, this is KB Mathematics, we would like to teach you how to find the median.

To find the median you have to arrange the data set in order from smallest to largest.

Data Set=15,21,43,25,33,30,17

1. Rearrange data set from least to greatest.

Data Set=15,17,21,25,30,33,43

2.After you get all the numbers in order you tally them off as so.(the numbers in bold mean tallied off)

Data Set=15,17,21,25,30,33,43

Median=25

If there are 2 or more numbers left in the data set you add those  numbers together and divide by how many numbers you added by.

Here's an example:

                                   Data Set:15,21,43,25,33,30,17,19

                                                data set in order:15,17,19,21,25,30,33,43

 Now you have 2 numbers left so we add those 2 numbers.

                                                                           21+25=46

 Now we divide 46 divided by 2 = 23 and that's what you do when there are 2 or more numbers left.

Thank you
